Super Natural "Crispy Tahong" (Crispy Mussels) is our new innove-snack using one of the exotic foods here in the country, Tahong or Asian Green Mussels as the main ingredient. It is an excellent alternative for chips and very good substitute for junk foods. Crispy Tahong’s outcome is an oval shaped, golden brown fried distinctive from its crispiness and natural salty flavor.

Our product is natural. It doesn’t contain preservatives or additives and chemicals that would be hazardous to health. It is made of real tahong meat removed from its shell and fried into a special kind of machine called the Vacuum Fryer. The product is guaranteed to be of top quality. The company ensures that it complies with sanitary and safety standards set by Bureau of Food and Drugs (BFAD) and the Department of Health (DOH).

Production Process

The first step in making the product is by depurating the mussels. Depuration is the process of cleansing the mussels through the use of clean water or seawater from the salt-water wells. This process is done to free mussels from contamination by potential pathogens, which can result in gastro enteric disturbances when contaminated mussels are consumed. The next process is washing and cleansing of the mussels followed by steaming to open up the shells. After steaming, it is the time to get the edible portion or the mussel meat and then will be cooked in a machine called Vacuum Fryer. After that, the product is ready for sorting and then packaging.
